Coats are buttoned and frosting is wiped from sticky faces as ten excited children are herded to waiting cars.

"You've really outdone yourself," her friend says, before leaning in for a warm hug. The two women pause for a moment to take in the rolling lawn. The perfectly manicured, lush green is soothing after three hours of chaotic birthday festivities.

From around the corner a tall man suddenly appears, carrying a paint-speckled ladder.

He notices the two women, tips
his hat and waves goodbye.

Seeing her friend's puzzled stare, she explains.

"We've been doing a bit of remodeling."

[DAILY LIFE]
– it's the one thing we'll do our best not to alter. After all, things are busy enough without us underfoot. From using the side entrance, to picking up after ourselves, the only thing we'll leave behind is a job well done.
